Overview

Orb Radio ("we," "us," or "our") operates orbradio.com and the Orb Radio mobile application. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. We believe radio should be simple — and so should your privacy.

Information We Collect

Account information

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. This is used to identify your account and sync saved stations and listening history across devices.

Listening data

When signed in, we store your saved stations, listening history, and taste preferences locally and on our servers to power personalized recommendations.

Location

We use approximate location (derived from your IP address) to show nearby stations. On mobile, you may optionally grant GPS access for more accurate nearby recommendations. Location is never required to listen to radio.

Payment information

Orb Radio+ subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number — Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy.

• Surface nearby and personalized station recommendations
• Process Orb Radio+ subscriptions
• Respond to support requests

What We Don't Do

• We do not sell your personal information
• We do not inject ads into audio streams
• We do not record or rebroadcast station audio
• We do not require an account to listen to radio

Third-Party Services

Orb Radio connects to the Radio Browser directory for station metadata and stream URLs. When you play a station, your device connects directly to the broadcaster's stream server. We also use Google (authentication), Stripe (payments), and Vercel (hosting). Each service has its own privacy policy.

Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support@orbradio.com.

Children

Orb Radio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
